In a Facebook post on Saturday, borough Mayor Brian Spoales said owners of The Grant Bar said the establishment will close this week.

“The Grant Bar has been far more than just a restaurant; it has been a true institution—a cornerstone of our community and a reliable gathering place across three generations of families,” the post said. “For nearly a century, it has represented the very best of Millvale’s spirit: warmth, unwavering hospitality, and a deep sense of connection.”

Spoales said the restaurant’s last day of operation will be Nov. 29.
