On November 6, a 37-year-old Tarboro man was arrested in Pennsylvania by law enforcement officers after detectives established probable cause on October 16 in relation to the attempted murder that occurred in the Town of Bethel.
On October 16, detectives established probable cause, and warrants were issued for Joshua Cleveland Mabry for attempted first degree murder and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury. Mabry was entered into NCIC as wanted, and it was discovered that he was possibly on the run.
Mabry was arrested in Pennsylvania after a collaboration between the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office, Marshals Task Force Officer coordinating with a U.S. Marshals field office in Pennyslvania, and with local state police. Mabry was held on a fugitive warrant until he could be extradited
On November 24, Mabry was presented to a Pitt County Magistrate for the warrant service. Mabry was ordered held without bond with a First Appearance set for November 25.
