Soon some Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) walk-in care centers will look a little different.
LVHN is beginning a “broader, phased conversion” of many of its ExpressCARE sites to Jefferson Health-branded centers, the health network said in a news release.
A location in Carbon County was the first to make the switch to a JeffExpress Urgent Care center. The facility at 528 Delaware Avenue in Palmerton was rebranded on November 18.
Next on the list is LVHN ExpressCARE–Schuylkill in Pottsville, which will convert to JeffExpress Urgent Care on December 2.
Finally, LVHN ExpressCARE-Airport Beltway in Hazle Township will make the switch on December 9.
According to LVHN’s website, there are 22 express care sites spread across several counties. It’s not clear if all of them will be rebranded as JeffExpress centers in the future.
LVHN became part of Jefferson Health last year. A spokesperson said JeffExpress Urgent Care offers a “model of care that is personal, provides convenient hours and shorter wait times.”
The walk-in sites treat a variety of minor injuries and illnesses and are generally open every day of the year. It’s also possible to book an appointment ahead of time.
