Philly People of Hope (PPOH), a grassroots community resource bank based in West Philadelphia, is expanding its services and looking for dedicated volunteers to help support our neighbors.
We operate multiple days a week providing free groceries, hot meals, hygiene items, clothing, paperwork support, and emergency outreach to families, seniors, and unhoused residents across West Philly and Kensington. As our work grows, so does the need for reliable hands.
We are currently seeking volunteers for:
Food Prep & Kitchen Support
Helping prep meals, pack groceries, and organize pantry supplies.
Serving & Distribution
Assisting community members during pantry hours and keeping shelves stocked.
Administrative Support
Helping neighbors complete benefits paperwork, housing forms, and ID applications.
Training is provided — no experience needed.
Street Outreach (Kensington)
Helping distribute to-go meals, water, winter items, and resource information.
