Roy Alan Kleffel

OBITUARY

Roy Alan Kleffel, 75, of Leesport, PA, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2025, at the Reading Hospital.

Born October 1, 1950, he was the son of Mary (Cowley) Kleffel and the late George Kleffel.

He was a 1968 graduate of Muhlenberg Township High School. Roy later obtained his BS in Agriculture from the Pennsylvania State University (1973).

Roy loved spending time with his boys (dogs) and taking them on walks. He was an animal lover at heart and kept his local girls (deer) well fed. In his free time Roy would be bowling at Berks Lanes and in his earlier years he would attend Laurel Lanes. He looked forward to traveling to the National Bowling Tournament every year and loved when it was held in Las Vegas or Reno. Racing was a hobby that started early in life. He would go to the local race tracks including Reading Fairgrounds to watch stock cars, modifieds, and sprint cars. He was a crew chief for Scott Haus of Hamburg and won many races with his team. He was a mentor to other team members as well as other race teams. Roy also loved spending time outdoors where he would be doing yard work or tending to his garden. He loved growing fresh tomatoes and peppers that he would use to cook.

Surviving is one sister, Karen Kleffel of Leesport, PA.

A Remembrance Luncheon will be held December 6 at Giannotti’s Country manor, 3118 Pricetown Road, Fleetwood, PA 19522 at 11:30.
