Three men from Philadelphia have been arrested and charged in connection to a string of carjackings that happened in the city over the summer, according to the police department.
The carjackings all happened between June 25 ad July 11, 2025, police said:
June 25, 2025 – 1400 block of Bouvier Street
June 28 – 3100 block of West Arizona Street
June 29 – 3100 block of West Arizona Street
July 1 – 11 and Wallace streets
July 3 – 1700 block of North 60 Street
July 3 – 700 block of South 55 Street
July 3 – 6000 block of North 5 Street
July 6 – 6100 block of West Girard Avenue
July 6 – 600 block of West Cumberland Street
July 7 – 3100 block of West Arizona Street
July 7 – 2100 block of Natrona Street
In some cases, police reported that the alleged suspects pretending to be buying or selling marijuana while other times they would target people who were leaving their cars.
Police said that some of the cars were stolen at gunpoint.
After stealing the cars, the suspects would use them for other crimes, police said.
Rasheen Harvey-Fields, 18, Tavon Fry, 20, and Saair Steele, 21, were each charged with conspiring to commit and of committing carjackings as well as other related charges.
They are being held in federal custody and could each face a maximum sentence of life in prison if they are convicted.
