As the Ballet Theatre of Scranton prepares for its 50th anniversary production of “The Nutcracker,” presented as a gift to the community since 1976, Scranton Mayor Paige Gebhardt Cognetti issued a proclamation honoring the organization’s artistic contributions to Scranton. Performances of “The Nutcracker” this year are Friday-Sunday, Nov. 28-30, at noon and 5:30 p.m. daily at the Theater at North, 1539 N. Main Ave., Scranton.
