Retired Erie Police Lt. Joe Kress plans to be in New Orleans, Louisiana on Monday.
50 years later, the Kress family is still suffering.
He will testify at a hearing for an 81-year-old man convicted of brother Greg and severely injuring Greg’s bride of ten days, Karen Kress.
Greg was 25 years-old when he was murdered, just ten days after his marriage.
Clifford McGraw was sentenced to death, but he was spared after Louisiana’s Capital sentencing statue was found unconstitutional.
Now 50 years later, he’s filed an appeal, hoping to escape a life sentence.
Karen Kress survived the brutal attack and eventually remarried.
