INTO THE LAUREL HIGHLANDS, WHERE THE SNOW HAS BEEN A LITTLE MORE PROMINENT. WE ARE GOING TO STAY COLD AS WE HEAD THROUGH YOUR REALLY THE REST OF THE WEEKEND. TOMORROW WE’RE WATCH. CONTINUED LIGHT SNOW SHOWERS AND FLURRIES FOR MOST OF WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA. BEST SPOT OF ACCUMULATION IS NORTH OF THE CITY. WILL THEN DRY OUT ON SATURDAY BEFORE GOING IMPACT DAY ON SUNDAY AS SNOW SHOWERS WILL BEGIN. THE DAY WILL TRANSITION TO RAIN BY ABOUT MID TO LATE MORNING AND THE WIND WILL ALSO BE UP, ESPECIALLY IN THE MORNING THROUGH 7:00. TOMORROW WE HAVE A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR VENANGO AND FOREST COUNTIES, WHERE HERE’S UP TO FOUR INCHES OF SNOW IS POSSIBLE AS LAKE EFFECT SETS UP. THE BANDS, THOUGH, WILL REALLY DETERMINE HOW MUCH ACCUMULATION ACTUALLY FALLS FOR MOST OF US TODAY. IT’S BEEN FLURRY ACTIVITY THOUGH, AS YOU HEAD UP INTO THE LAUREL HIGHLANDS, SOME OF THE SNOW HAS ACTUALLY STUCK TO THE GROUND. AND THEN ALSO NORTH OF I-80, WHERE WE’VE SEEN SOME PERSISTENT SNOW, MOSTLY IN THE MERCER COUNTY. BUT THAT’S ALSO BEEN TRUE IN ESPECIALLY WESTERN PORTIONS OF VENANGO COUNTY. 33 IS WHERE WE WILL MAKE IT TOMORROW. THAT’S A LITTLE COLDER THAN WHERE WE’VE BEEN TODAY. 36 ON SATURDAY. AGAIN, WE WILL BE DRY. THAT IS GREAT NEWS FOR THE PITT GAME AS THE HURRICANES COME TO TOWN. BUT IT’S GOING TO BE COLD. TEMPERATURES WILL BE JUST ABOVE FREEZING FOR THE ENTIRETY OF THE GAME. SUNDAY IS OUR IMPACT DAY. WE’RE WATCHING WITH START OF SNOW, THE TRANSITION TO RAIN THROUGH THE MORNING THAT DROPS OUR TEMPERATURES BACK DOWN TO FREEZING ON MONDAY, BUT THEN WATCHING TUESDAY, A SYSTEM PASSES TO OUR SOUTH. THIS COULD BE OUR FIRST AREA WIDE CHANCE AT SEEING SOME SNOW SHOWERS AND WILL HOLD IN THE MIDDLE 30S AS WE HEAD THROUGH NEXT WEEK AND KEEP THEM MOSTLY CLOUDY SKIES. SO AGAIN, SNOW SHOWERS. THE BEST COVERAGE WILL BE GENERALLY ALONG AND NORTH OF I-80, BUT AS WE HEAD INTO TOMORROW, OUR WINDS TURN A LITTLE MORE NORTHWEST OFF THE LAKE, WHICH MEANS THAT A LITTLE MORE ABUNDANT SNOW COULD DROP DOWN TOWARDS 422, AND PERHAPS AS FAR SOUTH AS THE TURNPIKE, BUT BY LATE FRIDAY, OUR SNOW SHOWERS ARE GOING TO TAPER OFF. SO AGAIN, THE BEST SPOT OF SEEING ACCUMULATIONS ALONG AND NORTH OF 422 WITH PERHAPS AN INCH IS POSSIBLE ONE AGAIN, 2 TO 4IN ARE POSSIBLE AS YOU HEAD NORTH OF I-80. WE GO INTO THE WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY. THEN WE’RE WATCHING. ON SUNDAY. WE ALL WILL START WITH SNOWFLAKES AND SNOW ARRIVES AFTER MIDNIGHT SUNDAY MORNING, BUT LIKELY BY ABOUT 9:00 OR 10:00. MOST OF US HAVE TRANSITIONED TO RAIN SHOWERS. ALL OF US WILL BE RAIN BY ABOUT MIDDAY, AND THEN THOSE RAIN SHOWERS WILL LOOK TO EXIT. WE COULD DRY OUT IN TIME FOR STEELERS KICKOFF. WE’LL KEEP AN EYE ON THE TIMING OF THE SYSTEM AS WE HEAD INTO THE WEEKEND. IT’S CLOUDY, IT’S GRAY, IT’S COLD, AND THERE’S SNOWFLAKES. NOT FEELING LIKE THANKSGIVING. 31 IS THE CURRENT TEMPERATURE. IT FEELS LIKE IT IS 22 DEGREES OUTSIDE AS THE WINDS ARE GUSTING TO 22MPH AT PITTSBURGH INTERNATIONAL. WIND CHILLS INTO THE TEENS TONIGHT. STRUGGLING TO GET BACK TO 20 FOR A WIND. CHILLS THROUGH T
