Conferences returned to weekly injury reports for conference games for the 2025 season. We’re back with the report and updates for Week 14 against Pittsburgh.

Miami Head Coach Mario Cristobal gave injury updates during his standard Monday presser. And they are:

The initial report came out Thursday night at 8pm. It basically mirrored what Cristobal said on Monday. Here’s the screenshot of the initial report:

The big news for Miami is the fact that S Jakobe Thomas is not listed at all. He took a helmet to the arm at Virginia Tech, but x-rays were negative and he’s been a full participant in practice this week. That’s huge for a Canes secondary that’s already missing Nickel Keionte Scott for the year with a foot injury.

Additionally, CB O.J. Frederique is not listed on the report so he *SHOULD* make his return after missing the previous 6 games.

Despite Cristobal saying he “felt good” about DT David Blay, the starting DT is still listed as questionable for another week. Blay was listed as questionable the last two Thursdays before being ruled out later in the week against both Syracuse and Virginia Tech.

On the Pittsburgh side, star RB Desmond Reid is listed as questionable among a group of 5 players. He’s the most impactful in my eyes with his multi-faceted offensive talents and impact on games.

I’ll update this piece tomorrow with the Friday injury report and any updates it brings.

The Miami Hurricanes face the Pittsburgh Panthers Pittsburgh, PA on Saturday at Noon. The game will be televised on ABC.
