WILKES – BARRE, LUZERNE CO. (WOLF) — Earlier today Fox56 was able to spend a few minutes with Chet Merli – the republican Lackawanna county commissioner candidate.

In the race for the upcoming November election, Merli outlined his two biggest issues.

Accountability for the budget is one. Reassessment. We need to continue this process so people can have their reassessments heard,” said Merli. “Those are the two biggest issues that face the county right now.”

He also positioned himself as an outsider when compared to the other two candidates. He is one of the three candidates on the ballot in the November 4th special election.
