TODAY WOULD BE A GOOD DAY TO GET OUT, GET SOME OF THAT SHOPPING DONE, MAYBE HEAD TO A FOOTBALL GAME BECAUSE THE WEATHER WHILE IT’S COLD, IT’S AT LEAST DRY. WE CAN MANAGE THE COLD, ESPECIALLY WHEN THE SUN IS OUT, THE WINDS A LITTLE BIT LIGHTER AS WELL, SNOW STAYING AWAY. BUT WE’RE NOT GOING TO GET THROUGH THE END OF THIS THANKSGIVING WEEKEND. COMPLETELY EASY GOING. OF COURSE, WE DO HAVE AN IMPACT DAY TOMORROW AS I’M TIMING IN SNOW THAT WILL BE CHANGING OVER TO RAIN. GOOD NEWS THOUGH FOR FOOTBALL FANS. WHETHER YOU’RE HEADING TO PITT TODAY, THE STEELERS TOMORROW, THINGS WILL BE DRY FOR BOTH GAMES, BUT IT WILL BE A LITTLE LATER ON THIS EVENING, ESPECIALLY AS WE GET CLOSER TO 9:00 WITH SOME OF THOSE FLAKES START TO SHOW UP. The winter-like temperatures will carry us through the final days of November and into early December. Sunday is an Impact Day for snow changing to rain. More area-wide snow is expected on Tuesday, another Impact Day.Cold day for Pitt and Miami The cold air is not going anywhere anytime soon. Highs this afternoon will reach the 30s across western PA. Certainly a cold day to be a Hurricane. Gametime temperatures for Pitt and Miami will be around freezing with some sunshine. Clouds will quickly build this afternoon in anticipation of our Impact Day tomorrow. Areas west of Pittsburgh could see the first flakes between 9 p.m. and midnight.Impact Day Sunday for snow changing to rainOur Impact Day will begin with snow, that will arrive as early as midnight. The snow could slow you down if you are hitting the roads early Sunday. Quick accumulations of one to two inches are possible but won’t last long. The snow will then transition to rain before noon.
