As Thanksgiving snowstorms go, 2025 won’t make the list of the worst in northwestern Pennsylvania.
A multiday lake-effect snow warning issued by the National Weather Service in Cleveland threatened as much as 20 inches of snowfall on Thanksgiving Day alone for some inland areas of Erie County and Crawford County.

Conditions never got quite that bad. The weather service reported 2.2 inches of new snow was measured on Thanksgiving Day at Erie International Airport. But more than a foot of snow did fall in some areas. Here’s a look at which locations got the most snow Nov. 27 and Nov. 28 combined, according to the weather service’s Community Collaborative Rain, Hail, and Snow network volunteers, Skywarn spotters and co-op observers:
