SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A local holiday marketplace tradition is alive and well this busy shopping weekend. A huge crowd turned out on Sunday at the Scranton Cultural Center for the 13th Annual Buy Local Holiday Marketplace.

Some of the area’s best small businesses, artisans, and wineries were on hand.

Shoppers were able to browse around on all five floors of the building and explore all the event had to offer.

“There’s a lot of floors, a lot of walking, but it’s nice to just get some steps in, walk around, buy some Christmas presents, so it’s a good. It’s a good time,” Clarks Summit resident Brooke Reiner told 28/22 News.

“I really love it. First, you’ve got the beautiful building. It makes it a lot easier, and there’s a lot of people coming in, a large crowd, so it’s a very good show to do,” Jonathan Mackin with A&J Hand Craftings said.

Nearly 100 vendors were on hand for the annual holiday marketplace in the Electric City.
