The Reading Fire Department will host its annual Toy Drive Breakfast on Dec. 19 at Trooper Thorn’s Irish Beef House, 451 Morgantown Road.

This year’s drive will honor the memory of retired Reading firefighter Keith “Sarge” Eschleman, whose dedication to the community and the holiday season continues to inspire this treasured tradition, officials said.

Community members are invited to enjoy a free breakfast, beginning at 7 a.m., with the donation of a new, unwrapped toy. All toys collected will be distributed to the Salvation Army of Reading to support families in need this holiday season.

Toy Drive shirts and hoodies are available for purchase, with 100% of proceeds used to buy additional toys for local children.

Officials said the event continues to bring together first responders, families and neighbors to ensure every child in Reading feels the joy of the holidays.
