(WTAJ) — Two winning tickets worth a combined total of $1.15 million were sold at rival convenience stores Sheetz and Wawa in Pennsylvania.
While the Powerball jackpot went unclaimed, rising to an estimated $740 million for Monday’s drawing, Dec. 1, two big winners emerged from the Thanksgiving eve drawing on Nov. 26.
The first big winner, worth $1 million, was sold at a Wawa on Frankford Avenue in Philadelphia. The ticket matched all five white balls, but missed the Powerball. Wawa will receive a $5,000 bonus for selling the ticket.
A ticket matching four of the five white balls and the red Powerball worth $150,000 was sold at Sheetz on 5th Street in Ellwood City Borough. The ticket also had the $1 Power Play purchased; without that, it would have been worth $50,000. Sheetz will receive a $500 bonus.
