A Pittston woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash that took place in Plains Twp. on Friday night, according to the Luzerne County Coroner’s Office.
The crash took place around 10:30 p.m. when a black car struck a utility pole along state Route 315 in the area of Motorworld Drive.
The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, 27-year-old Sylvia Naitore, was rushed to Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead, Coroner Dion Fernandes said.
The cause of the crash remained under investigation by Plains Twp. police.
