A Philadelphia man was arrested in connection to several robberies at the same gas station last month, according to the police department.
Nikale Brandon Mitchell, 35, is accused of going into the Exxon K-Shop on the 7900 block of Verree Road in the Fox Chase neighborhood of Philadelphia three times between Nov. 22 and 25, 2025, police said.
Once inside the store, Mitchell allegedly displayed a black handgun while threatening to shoot the workers before stealing money, lottery tickets and tobacco products, police reported.
The first incident happened on Nov. 22 when Mitchell wore a red bucket hat into the store and point a gun at a worker then demanded cash and lottery tickets, police said. He allegedly got away with $1,500, lottery tickets and other items.
In a second robbery, Mitchell is accused of wearing a ski mask and black hoodie when he forced himself behind the counter and took more than $500, lottery tickets and other items, according to officials.
Then, on Nov. 25, Mitchell took about $700 from the register before forcing the worker to give him the keys to gaming machines as well as cash and scratch-off lottery tickets, police said.
Police said that detectives linked Mitchell to these robberies because of their location and the suspect’s tactics as well as his physical description and the clothes he was wearing.
Mitchell was arrested while driving a stolen U-Haul truck by officers on Nov. 29 who found a handgun, several books of Pennsylvania Lottery tickets and other items that were identified as being from the Exxon K-Shop, police explained.
The next day after his arrest, detectives went to Mitchell’s home with a search warrant where they found a loaded rifle, clothing that matched the suspect in the robberies and the stolen gaming machine keys, officials said.
Mitchell was charged on Dec. 1 with robbery, theft and other related charges.
