OBITUARY
Cathy L. Zimmerman, 63, of Dupont, PA, passed away Sunday evening, November 23, 2025, at Mountain Top Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Mountain Top, PA.
Born on December 3, 1961, in Peach Bottom, PA, she was the daughter of the late Robert Saunders and Pearl G. (Osborne) Cochran.
Cathy was a graduate of Solanco High School, Quarryville, PA, Class of 1979, and Luzerne County Community College, where she earned her Associate Degree in Medical Billing and Coding. She was employed as an administrative assistant at Regional Hospital, Scranton.
She was a Cub Scout Leader of Pack 285, Duryea, and she deeply loved supporting charitable organizations, such as CEO and Toys for Tots, among many others.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Zimmerman, on December 27, 2007.
Surviving are her sons, Johnathan Zimmerman and his wife Robyn, Wilkes-Barre Township, and Anthony Zimmerman and his fiance, Carly Karaffa, Kingston; grandsons Brendon Zimmerman and Jovanni Karaffa; and sisters, Cindy Harnish, Willow Street, PA, and Jennifer Cochran, Peach Bottom, PA.
Funeral Services for Cathy will be held Friday, December 5, 2025, at 7:00 pm at the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA 18705. Private family inurnment will take place at a later time. Family and friends may call Friday, December 5, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
