Crisley Whitman Sullivan
OBITUARY
Crisley Whitman Sullivan, of Scott Twp, died Saturday at Scranton Community Medical Center. Born Crisley Whitman, daughter of Roy V. Whitman and Rebecca Edwards Whitman in Peckville, Pa. on April 19, 1947. Crisley was a graduate of Lakeland School District and Lackawanna Jr. College.
Crisley married Joseph Sullivan on Sept. 23 1967. She has one son , Kevin, a current principal at Lakeland.
After serving as an Airforce wife, Crisley was employed by 1st National Bank of Jermyn and remained at the bank through all name changes, for 41 years, retiring as Administrative Assistant to the bank president, in 2009.
Crisley loved to travel; when asked her favorite destination, without hesitation, Paris. She was happiest when planning a trip or a dinner party.
Her cooking skills were second to none. To not mention her love of labrador retriever dogs would not describe her. Crisley spent a good part of her adult life with a lab by her side.
Her current side kick is Murphy, as she says “the best of the best.”
The world was a better place with her in it. The time has come for Our Heavenly Father to enjoy her company. Thank you Girl Friend!
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 Thursday from St John Vianney Parish, Scott Twp. Viewing 5 to 7 Wednesday at the Battenberg Funeral Home, Jermyn.
Those attending the funeral on Thursday are asked to go directly to the church. Entombment, Our Mother of Sorrows, Greenfield Twp.
