More than 100 parishes, schools, and charitable ministries across the Archdiocese of Philadelphia are participating in #iGiveCatholic today, Dec. 2, the nationally recognized Catholic Giving Day held on GivingTuesday. CatholicPhilly is among the local beneficiaries.
The initiative, led locally by The Catholic Foundation of Greater Philadelphia in partnership with the Archdiocese, has raised over $7.4 million since 2020 to support local Catholic entities.
Donors can make gifts or learn more about participating organizations at PhillyGivesCatholic.org.
Today at 4:00 p.m. EST, The Catholic Foundation will take over the national #iGiveCatholic livestream, with Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez joining Ted Qualli, President and CEO of The Catholic Foundation, for an hour-long broadcast featuring interviews with representatives from participating organizations.
Celebrated annually on GivingTuesday (the Tuesday after Thanksgiving), #iGiveCatholic encourages donors to support Catholic ministries through financial gifts. New this year, participants can also log volunteer hours, reflecting that giving includes time and talent as well as treasure.
The campaign is supported by The James and Agnes Kim and Family Foundation; The Clark Family; Dilworth Paxson LLP; Saul Ewing; Stradley Ronon; Cathedral Letter Concepts; PDC Graphics; and Immaculata University.
