For this year’s holiday season, Redlands’ LifeHouse Theater is bringing back its “Bethlehem Marketplace,” a walk-through theatrical event based on the Christmas story in the Gospel of Luke.

A number of years ago, LifeHouse Theater presented “Bethlehem Marketplace” for more than 10 years in Yucaipa, and in those years, more than 50,000 people saw the production, according to a news release.

This year’s “Bethlehem Marketplace” will be presented every evening except Dec. 14 from Dec. 10 through Dec. 20, at Pathway Church, 611 E. Cypress Ave., Redlands.

In the production, guides Zebulun and Rebekah lead groups of 10 through the streets of Bethlehem, where they encounter Roman soldiers, marketplace merchants, gossiping villagers, census takers, philosophers, dancers and more, and finally the Nativity.

Reservations are required for the tours, which will depart every five minutes between 6 and 9 p.m., according to a news release.

Tickets are $20 for age 18 and older, $10 for ages 13-17 and free for ages 5-12, available at lifehousetheater.com and 909-335-3037. Those with LifeHouse Theater season passes are eligible for a 50% discount.
