ERIE, Pa. (MyValleyTributes) – Monica C. Fritchman, age 50, of Erie, Pennsylvania, formerly of Farrell, Pennsylvania, passed away unexpectedly, on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at her residence.

Born February 11, 1975, in Las Vegas, Nevada, she was the daughter of Sally (Schenker) Ford, of Hermitage, Pennsylvania, and step-daughter of the late Dennis Ford.

Monica was a graduate of Farrell High School and went on to Edinboro University where she earned her Bachelors of Education Degree.

She took a teaching job with General McClain High School, where she taught French, Spanish and occasionally German for the last 28 years. She was also a cheerleading coach for several years.

In her spare time Monica liked to travel and shop. She was a member of PSEA and served as a Union Stewart.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her long time companion Chris Haas, of Erie, PA, aunts, uncles and many cousins.

Preceding her in death were her step-father, and both maternal and paternal grandparents.

A gathering time will be held on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., at the Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, 264 E. State Street, Sharon, PA, 16146. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Anthony Kladitis officiating.
