A New Jersey man was apprehended by FBI officials along with officers of the Philadelphia Police Department on Tuesday after he was found in Philly while being sought on charges related to the killing of a 15-year-old Atlantic City boy, officials said.

According to law enforcement officials, on Tuesday, at about 12:30 p.m., FBI agents and Philly police officers arrested Louis Jackson, 23, of Galloway Township, New Jersey, after he was located along the 5000 block of Chester Avenue in Philly’s Kingsessing neighborhood.

Police said Jackson was apprehended on outstanding warrants for the murder of a 15-year-old Atlantic City, NJ, boy and the attempted killing of a 17-year-old boy, also from Atlantic City, NJ.

Jackson has been sought since Nov. 7, 2025, officials said, after a shooting happened along the 800 block of Arkansas Ave. in Atlantic City, NJ, at about 5:24 p.m.

In this case, officers responding to the scene found a 15-year-old boy suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and, officials said, he was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died.

At that same scene, a 17-year-old boy was located after he had been shot in the face, officials said.

This boy was taken to the hospital where, officials said, he has been treated and was expected to survive his injuries.

After the shooting, officials said, Jackson fled the area but investigators with the FBI were able to track him to a property in Philadelphia where he was arrested on Tuesday.

An investigation into this incident, officials said, is ongoing.
