A recent survey ranked Philadelphia the number one “Foodcation” spot in the country.
The survey, conducted by Talker Research, revealed the top locations travelers would visit, just to experience the food.
And the iconic Philadelphia cheesesteak was at the top of their list of foods to try.
New York City came in second for its New York-style pizza, while Kansas and Missouri rounded out the top three for their Kansas City BBQ.

The survey also found food-lovers spent an average of $900 on travel to experience a regional cuisine.
They are also willing to spend nearly $2,000 to taste something on their “must-try” list.
Most respondents also said they prefer to eat at “hole-in-the-wall” eateries over big-name restaurants.
