Centre Park Historic District’s 39th Christmas House Tour will offer two distinct tour experiences, the neighborhood organization announced.

This year’s tour will once again showcase the district’s Victorian, Queen Anne and Colonial Revival style homes, splendidly decorated for the holiday season.

“The Centre Park Christmas House Tour is a cherished tradition that allows the public to step back in time and witness the magic of the holidays as celebrated in these architectural treasures,” organizers said in a release.

An Evening of Elegance: The Moonlight Guided Tour will be held Dec. 12 at 6 p.m.

Tickets are limited and include a guided tour followed by a cocktail reception at the Harbster mansion, 742 Centre Ave., a privately owned residence, built in 1888.

Participants will be led by costumed guides who will provide detailed commentary on the distinct architectural styles, interior features and fascinating history of each home.

Afterward, attendees will enjoy festive refreshments within the opulent setting of the preserved mansion.

Organizers said the intimate evening is designed to illuminate the grandeur of the district under the soft glow of streetlights and holiday decorations.

Only 60 tickets are available for this exclusive event.

Tickets are also available for the traditional self-guided tour on Dec. 14 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This option allows guests to explore the unique craftsmanship and seasonal décor of featured homes at their own pace, organizers said.

For those looking to enhance the experience, a special champagne brunch combination ticket is available. The combo ticket includes a morning meal at the Inn at Centre Park before the tour.

“Whether you choose the intimate, guided experience or the leisurely self-guided format, it’s a perfect way to celebrate the season,” organizers said.

In addition to the private homes on the tour, ticket holders may also tour the Charles Evans Cemetery office, Big Brothers-Big Sisters of Berks County, Calvary United Church of Christ, John P. Feeney Funeral Home and the Berks History Center, all of which will be decorated.

The Berk History Center will also feature a holiday craft boutique.

The Centre Park Historic District Headquarters and Artifacts Bank, 707 N. Fifth St., will also be open and decked for the holidays. Visitors are encouraged to stop by for free refreshments and to browse or buy from a large collection of architectural antiques and other great finds.

Tickets for both tour options and the add-on champagne brunch are available.

Due to the limited nature of the moonlight event, early ticket purchase is strongly recommended.

Free parking is available at First Energy Stadium, 1900 Centre Ave., with free shuttle service to Centre Park.
