A movie featuring local talent and also shot in the Lehigh Valley begins streaming nationwide Thursday on BET Plus.

“Love After Holidays” stars Jacinth Headlam, Malik Yoba from New York Undercover, and Jeremy Meeks.

Jacinth, who is also a producer and creator of the project, visited 69 News at Sunrise Thursday morning.

She plays a talk show host battling alcohol addiction. She said the movie is about forgiveness, transformation, and second chances.

She said the host’s problem interfered with her family and her marriage. She had to reinvent herself, and find herself and her identity.

Jacinth discussed some of the locales we might recognize in the film, such as the Greater Shiloh Church in Easton ad the SteelStacks in Bethlehem.

Viewers will see “a lot of familiar faces and places” in the movie, she said.

The movie was inspired by a memoir she wrote called Love After.

“My dream is coming true,” she said, talking about how she feels about her book becoming a movie.
