A man from Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, has been arrested and charged after allegedly violently attacking a woman he met on Tinder.
According to a probable cause affidavit, the Hosham Township Police Department alleges that on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, around 5:25 p.m., one of their officers was called to 1218 Limekiln Pike after receiving a report about a man, identified as 35-year-old James Worthington of Ambler, actively having a seizure.
The affidavit shared that the woman, who has not been identified, said that Worthington was not cooperating and was striking her while speaking to county dispatch.
When the officer arrived on the scene, the affidavit said they heard screaming coming from inside a home. When they looked through the window, they found Worthington sitting over on the couch and striking the woman with a closed fist as she continued to yell for help.
The affidavit claims the officer then forced their way into the home through the front door. That’s when they said the woman with a bloody face.
According to the affidavit that the officer immediately handcuffed Worthington. It was noted that Worthington was sweaty, disoriented, and naked from the waist down.
The affidavit said that when the officer spoke with the woman, she said that she had met Worthington on Tinder earlier that day. After she arrived at his home, they smoked marijuana, and shortly thereafter, Worthington began to suffer a seizure; that’s when she called 911.
When Worthington began to regain consciousness, the woman claims he attacked her with a closed fist and attempted to gouge out her right eye, the affidavit said.
When medics arrived on scene, they treated the woman for facial injuries, according to the affidavit.
Worthington has now been charged with felony aggravated assault and other related charges.
