Israeli occupation forces assaulted a Palestinian worker on Thursday evening in the village of al‑Minya, southeast of Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) in Bethlehem reported that soldiers stopped a waste‑collection vehicle at the al‑Minya roundabout, forced the 37‑year‑old driver out, and brutally beat him.

PRCS medics said the man suffered bruises and wounds across his body before being transferred to hospital, where his condition was described as stable.

Residents stressed that such attacks highlight the daily risks faced by ordinary workers in Bethlehem’s villages, where occupation forces routinely impose restrictions and violence that disrupt livelihoods and threaten community stability.

In related news, Israeli colonizers attacked international solidarity activists and Palestinian residents in the Bedouin village of Shalal al‑Auja, north of Jericho, in the occupied West Bank’s northeastern part.

Furthermore, seven Palestinians were injured on Thursday after Israeli colonizers attacked farmers between the towns of Halhul and Beit Ummar, north of Hebron in the occupied West Bank’s southern part.

All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.

Article 33 of the Fourth Geneva Convention prohibits collective punishment and acts of terror against civilian populations.

Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory”.

Articles 53 and 147, prohibit the destruction of civilian property and classify pillage as a war crime.
