The Community Outreach Group has spent more than two decades serving Erie’s most vulnerable neighbors.
What began in 1999 with just 300 coats has grown into one of the region’s largest clothing giveaways. Now, lines wrap around St. Paul’s Church.
On Wednesday night, volunteers from Cathedral Prep Football, Mercyhurst University, and Gannon University’s softball and baseball teams helped unload and sort donations for this year’s clothes drive.
The big clothing distribution is open to the public, and anyone who walks through gets a bag they can fill with free clothes.
Doors open Saturday at 9:30 AM at St. Paul’s Church.
