READING, Pa. – Reading Area Community College hosted a holiday toy drive today.

Students and volunteers gathered at the Miller Center in Reading.

Folks who signed up were able to pick up toys and holiday gifts for their loved ones.

The goal is to give busy students some peace of mind this time of year.

“A lot of our students work full time. A lot of our students have family members they take care of. There’s a lot going on in the lives of community college students, so this is just a way of us supporting them,” said Megan Schappell, director of special events at the Miller Center.

Volunteers helped wrap the gifts during the toy drive.
