An SUV and a dump truck collided Friday afternoon in the 8600 block of West Chester Pike in Upper Darby Township.

The crash occurred shortly before 2 p.m. and brought down live wires onto the dump truck, according to fire radio traffic. Crews waited for PECO’s arrival before attempting to get the truck driver out.

PECO did arrive about 15 minutes later and shut off the power. One person was taken to Lankenau Medical Center from the incident. Traffic remained slowed on the Pike at 3:30 p.m.
