BETHLEHEM, Pa. — A former Truist Bank building on Linden Street in Bethlehem has been sold for $1.5 million, according to Northampton County property records.
The bank went under multiple names during the era of bank combinations. It was National Penn, then KNBT and later BB&T. In 2019, BB&T merged with SunTrust Bank and became Truist.
The buyer is Community Bank N.A., based in DeWitt, New York.
The branch at 2943 Linden St., near Macada Road, closed as a Truist operation in 2020. It has been vacant for more than four years, but new businesses and new construction have taken shape nearby.
The building is on the west side of Linden Street, near a daycare center and Walgreens. Across the street are Linden Beverage, a gas station and an apartment complex that is not quite complete.

At the intersection of Butztown Road and Linden, near the bank building, more apartments are planned but site work has not begun.
