The annual “Stuff the Bus for Toys for Tots” event in Pittston Township aims to ensure no child wakes up on Christmas without a gift.
PITTSTON, Pa. — On Sunday, the annual “Stuff the Bus for Toys for Tots” returned to the Walmart Supercenter off Highway 315 in Pittston Township.
County transportation authority staff, Marines, Santa, and Mrs. Claus were in attendance, gathering unwrapped toys, books, and games.
“There’s more and more children in our area that need the toys and the gifts, so I mean we don’t want any child to wake up on Christmas without gifts,” said, LCTA Executive Director  Bob Fiume.
Cash donations were also collected.
Organizers say last year, Toys for Tots distributed more than 70,000 toys to nearly 23,000 children in our region.
