Eric L. Schultz

OBITUARY

Eric L. Schultz, 57, of Bernville, beloved husband, devoted friend and craftsman, passed

away on Sunday, November 30, 2025 in Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center,

unexpectedly and far too soon.

Eric was a man defined by grit, integrity, and a joyful heart. He survived cancer early in

life — a battle that left him stronger, more determined and with a deeper appreciation for every

new day.

Driven by a love for building and restoring, Eric spent 25 years working in construction

and remodeling. Every completed project was more than wood and plaster — it was a labor of

love and a transformation of someone’s house into a home. He was at his happiest when he

stepped back and saw the change he had made, and the satisfaction on a homeowner’s face.

To him, building was an act of service and a form of art.

But Eric’s artistic spirit extended far beyond his tools. He had a deep appreciation for

tattoos — not just the ink on skin, but the stories, symbolism, and craftsmanship behind them.

Years ago, he created his own artwork too, painting with a quiet intensity that revealed the depth

of his heart. Nature inspired him most. He was especially drawn to wolves, because of his wife,

Rachael — their loyalty, their strength, and quiet leadership. Their image appears often in their

home and their spirit, in the way he lived and in the way he saw himself: protective, intuitive, and

fiercely devoted to his pack.

Eric found peace outdoors, whether surrounded by the stillness of the woods, the sound

of his dogs beside him, or the sense of connectedness that nature gave him.

In his recurring video series “Sunday Morning Church with Eric,” he shared his belief in

investing in what matters most — ourselves and our health. He offered hope, encouragement,

and a reminder to stay present with what truly matters.

Eric touched people with his spirit. Those who knew him will remember his boundless

energy, his quick smile and his uncanny ability to walk into a room full of strangers and make

everyone feel like an old friend. He was a lifelong learner and always curious. His zest for life

was contagious.

On his journey, he was joined by his wife and partner of 30 years, Rachael. Though they

did not have children, their hearts were full and their home was warmed by the loyal, loving

presence of their fur babies — their beautiful Malamutes — who, in many ways, were his

children. They were his joy, his companions and his daily reminder of the spirit he admired in

wolves.

Eric’s kindness, his determination, his craftsmanship and his capacity to light up rooms

will be deeply missed. But his legacy lives on — in every home he renovated, in the stories his

friends and loved ones will continue to tell, and in the hearts of all who were touched by his

warmth.

Eric is survived by his wife, Rachael (Hague) Schultz; their beloved dogs; his Mother,

Gloria, brother Chris and countless friends and acquaintances whose lives he enriched.

A visitation for Eric will be held Wednesday, December 10, 2025, from 6:00-7:30PM in

Klee Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., One East Lancaster Avenue, Shillington, PA,

with a Time of Remembrance to follow at 7:30PM to celebrate Eric’s life, his spirit and the love

he shared. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to The Wounded Warriors Project

at https://support.woundedwarriorsproject.org . and remembrances of favorite memories of Eric

to be shared at his service.

We carry him in our hearts, and his light — his laughter, his generosity, his resilience —

will shine on forever. www.kleefuneralhome.com
