PHILADELPHIA – SEPTA and its largest workers union say Philadelphia bus, subway, and trolley riders can plan for regular service, but a strike is still on the table.
The transit agency and the union leaders are meeting for their latest round of contract negotiations Monday.
Last Friday, the union said a strike was imminent, but Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro stepped in and met with union leaders Sunday.
If no deal is made and a strike goes through, city bus, subway, and trolley service would be shut down, but regional rail and suburban service would continue.
