PHILADELPHIA — A Florida man died in a Monday morning crash in Philadelphia, authorities said.

The crash happened at about 9:57 a.m. on Interstate 676 east of Broad Street, near 11th Street, Pennsylvania State Police said.

According to police, a utility truck came to a stop in the center lane due to stopped traffic.

A dark gray Toyota Corolla, driven by a 27-year-old Florida man, struck the back of the truck as a high speed, police said.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim’s identity is being withheld at this time to allow law enforcement to make proper notification to family, police said.
