Value City Furniture sets last day for gift card sales in Pennsylvania

PENNSYLVANIA (WKBN)- Pennsylvania’s attorney general is encouraging Pennsylvanians to use any gift cards for Value City Furniture before Dec. 22.

Plans to close two Ohio, and one Pennsylvania location were announced last week.

It did not include the Boardman store, but Value City’s parent company has asked a bankruptcy court to let it stop accepting gift cards after Dec. 22.

They’re already not being accepted at any location which has started a store closing sale, and the Pennsylvania attorney general is worried other store locations could be affected soon.
