A man was shot several times after a disagreement over noise ended in gunfire, Philadelphia police said.

According to police, the incident happened overnight outside the man’s home along North Broad Street.

Police said two people were allegedly being loud outside the home, so the man, a 20-year-old, stepped out and asked them to keep it down.

When they don’t quiet down, the man comes back outside with a gun and pistol whips one of the individuals.

That’s when police said one of the individuals shot the man several times. He was taken to the hospital and listed in crticial condition.

Police said two people are now in custody.

At the scene, police said three guns were recovered and a white vehicle outside the residence is being investigated.
