WASHINGTON – A Lehigh Valley businessman is one step closer to being the new chief of NASA.
The Senate committee on commerce, science, and transportation voted to approve Jared Isaacman for the role.
The panel grilled the billionaire over a leaked document called “Project Athena” that detailed controversial goals for NASA.
He said the document was outdated, but he stands by much of its contents.
Isaacman’s nomination now moves to the full Senate for a vote.
