It’s finals time at Gannon University, and that means it’s time for the tradition known as LateKnight Bites.
It’s the way that the Gannon community kicks off finals week.
Hosted by the office of the president, LateKnight Bites brings together Gannon University faculty and staff to dish out late night comfort food, prizes and encouragement as students gear up for exams.
On the menu Sunday night was popcorn chicken and waffles, potato cakes, fruit salad, a build-your-own hot chocolate bar and more.
The idea is to let studying students know that they’re not alone, and that the Gannon family is cheering them on to do well.
University President Dr. Walter Iwanenko was there dishing up food as well. He looks forward to seeing students turn out for this event at the end of each semester. “When I get a chance to see them at these events where they’re getting ready to study, it allows me to get a chance to talk with them one on one, see how things are going m— ask how many finals they have, what are they doing over the break, and it helps build the connection between us and our students.”
