L. MACUNGIE TWP., Pa. – A new facility in Lehigh County will help kids build the developmental skills and confidence needed at each stage of childhood.

The Little Gym, a premier children’s enrichment and physical development center, is set to officially open on Dec. 15 at 6900 Hamilton Blvd., Unit 29, in the Trexlertown section of Lower Macungie Township, according to a news release.

Preview classes began last week.

The facility aims to offer “serious fun” while supporting children’s physical, cognitive and social development, the release states.

The Little Gym of Trexlertown will bring movement-based learning, gymnastics classes and confidence-building programs to families across the Lehigh Valley.

The facility is owned by Matthew and Nichole Pitz, parents of three sons – Matthew, 16, Mason, 14, and Michael, 11 – who have spent the past five years successfully owning and operating small businesses in the Trexlertown area.

After a 30-year career in telecommunications, Matthew left the corporate world to pursue entrepreneurship and bring a meaningful, community-focused business to local families.

Matthew will oversee The Little Gym of Trexlertown’s day-to-day operations, while his wife and three sons will support the family business and mission behind it: “creating joyful spaces where kids can learn, laugh and grow.”

The Little Gym of Trexlertown is located at 6900 Hamilton Blvd., Unit 29.

“Trexlertown and the surrounding area is a growing, family-driven community, and we wanted to create a place that reflects that energy,” Matthew Pitz said. “The Little Gym isn’t just about movement; it’s about giving kids a space to build confidence, make friends, and discover what they’re capable of. We’re proud to bring something so positive to the Lehigh Valley.”

On Jan. 3, The Little Gym of Trexlertown will host a grand opening event, with Founding Member specials available for early enrollees. Initial members will get $10 off monthly membership rates and a waived initiation fee.

The Little Gym of Trexlertown’s programs are “designed to be a springboard for life’s adventures,” the release states.

Classes utilize movement-based learning and imaginative play to enhance coordination, listening and intellectual skills.

Popular options include parent/child classes, allowing parents to help their child explore motor and social-skill development; and preschool and grade school gymnastics classes that teach students tumbling and apparatus techniques while using positive motivation as a learning tool.

The facility also will offer birthday bashes in a variety of themes that feature instructor-led games and music.

The Little Gym, with around 400 locations in 31 countries, teaches kids social and physical skills appropriate to each stage of childhood by creating opportunities to experience achievement and build self-confidence.

The essence of the international franchise’s mission is becoming the foundation of a child’s development that will set them up for success.

“Through a proprietary philosophy called Three-Dimensional learning, programs foster growth in three holistic dimensions including physical, cognitive, and social and emotional learning,” the release continues. “The core teaching methods create opportunities for children to experience achievement and build self-confidence.”

The Trexlertown gym will operate 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturdays and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays.
