Blue Ribbon Farm Dairy celebrates 80 years with festive ice cream treats in West Pittston

An ice cream shop in Luzerne County remains open year-round and is offering frozen Christmas treats.

WEST PITTSTON, Pa. — When you think of sweet treats around the holidays, you might think of Christmas cookies.  But a dairy in Luzerne County hopes you’ll consider ice cream!  

Blue Ribbon Farm Dairy is celebrating 80 years in West Pittston, and the ice cream parlor is open 364 days a year.  

They offer some holiday specials like ice cream cakes, holiday ice cream flights, specialty sundaes, and spumoni, which is an Italian ice cream dessert. 

Even though it’s cold outside, employees at Blue Ribbon Farm Dairy say ice cream is a popular tradition around the holidays for many families in NEPA. The ice cream parlor is open every day except for Christmas.
