Manufactured by Saputo Dairy UK in Cornwall, Cathedral City is one of the most recognisable cheese brands in the country.

From Mature Cheddar and Vintage to lighter flavours, there is plenty to choose from.

However, cheese-lovers were left in a frenzy after being unable to find any of its lactose-free products in supermarkets.

Has Cathedral City discontinued its lactose-free cheese?

One alternative product for many shoppers is the Lactose Free Mature Cheddar.

Offering an option for those with lactose intolerance, it is a well-loved product by shoppers.

However, fans of the brand have noticed that it appears to be unavailable in major supermarkets such as Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s and more across the country.

One person wrote: “@CathedralCity have you discontinued your lactose free cheese?”

Another said: “@CathedralCity the panic I get when your lactose-free cheese goes out of stock everywhere is actually alarming. Can’t we sort out some kind of subscription?”
