SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A man was arrested for allegedly assaulting someone with a box cutter.
Kartier Sherry, 25, was accused of aggravated assault following an investigation of an early morning December 7 altercation at the intersection of Adams Avenue and Linden Street.

The morning of the alleged assault, police say they responded to Geisinger Community Medical Center for a victim treated for a 4-inch laceration to the left side of his face, near his eye, and a 10-inch laceration to the rear of his left shoulder.
Women killed in machete attack identified
Police say the victim told them he was attempting to help a friend who was being assaulted by Sherry.
Sherry faces multiple counts of aggravated assault and simple assault.
Sherry is currently in Lackawanna County Prison, and bail has been posted for $200,000.
