ALLENTOWN, Pa. – A new cozy spot for specialty drinks and hand-crafted sweet and savory treats “made with love and creativity” is welcoming guests in Lehigh County.
The Cozy Crumbs Cafe, a cafe serving specialty coffee drinks, authentic Mediterranean pastries, bubble tea and more, held a soft opening on Thursday at 21 N. Seventh St. in downtown Allentown.

The cafe, owned and operated by Tala Madanat of Whitehall Township, occupies an updated ArtsWalk space that previously housed The Hive, a market showcasing hand-crafted items from than 130 Lehigh Valley area vendors, which expanded operations with a larger location at Promenade Saucon Valley earlier this year.
It represents the fulfillment of Madanat’s longtime dream to own and operate her own cafe.
“I’ve always had a dream to open a place where people could come together and socialize while enjoying great food and drinks,” Madanat told 69 News.
“I love baking, entertaining and meeting new people, and so this was the natural next step. I want people to feel at home here, and that’s why I created a cozy vibe with comfortable seating areas.”

Since the spring, Madanat has been operating The Cozy Crumbs as a mobile venture, setting up stands and selling her goods at local markets and pop-up events.
The business has built a large following thanks to its tasty, hand-crafted desserts, including Dubai chocolate treats such as Dubai chocolate croissants, Dubai baklava, Dubai brownies and Dubai strawberry cups.
Foodies can also indulge in Dubai strawberry bombs (hand-dipped strawberries stuffed with rich pistachio cream, layered with crispy kataifi dough and finished with a shine of gold and crunchy pistachio crown) and Dubai pistachio lazy cake (rich, creamy layers of chocolate and biscuits, infused with pistachio bliss and drizzled with signature sauces and topped with crunchy pistachios).

Other small-batch sweets include cake pops such as Biscoff and Dubai pistachio, red velvet Dubai chocolate roses, keto pecan caramel cheesecake, tres leches cakes available in multiple flavors and a “tiramisu royale” dessert (layers of rich espresso-soaked ladyfingers and silky mascarpone cream, finished with cocoa dust, chocolate truffles and edible gold).
At the new cafe, selections rotate with opening day offerings including spinach pies, meat pies, Biscoff and Dubai chocolate cookies and brownies and cake slices such as chocolate, rainbow, red velvet and pistachio, among other items.
All baking is done on premises.

“I’m trying to satisfy everyone’s tastes,” Madanat said.
“So, we have a little bit of everything, and our selection will change every day. People can keep coming back to enjoy their favorites or try something new.”
The Cozy Crumbs Cafe also serves bubble tea, specialty hot and iced coffee drinks and savory food selections such as fresh Mediterranean sandwiches made with labneh, cucumbers and tomatoes and grilled za’atar and cheese toast, served with fresh vegetables and olives.
