In Jared Lemieux’s second offseason as the Lake Erie Crushers’ manager, the organization gave him a sign of approval.
Dec. 12, the Crushers announced they will extend Lemieux through the 2027 season.
The Crushers went 52-42 in 2025. A year prior, they appeared in the playoffs for the first time in five years.
A 10-8 wild-card game win against the Gateway Grizzlies was the Crushers’ first playoff win since 2013.
He has a record of 103-86 in the past two seasons, and he was the first manager to lead the Crushers to back-to-back playoff appearances.
The Crushers’ season opener will be on May 8 at the newly named ForeFront Field.
