Two Lehigh Valley children’s businesses will host a holiday character event Dec. 14 at Cedar Crest College to raise money for the Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley.
The event, called “Let It Go, Defy Gravity & Save the World: A Holiday Blockbuster Event,” will run from 3 to 4 p.m. at 100 Cedar Crest Blvd. More than 10 characters from holiday films and storybooks will appear during the hour-long program.
Characters will represent movies including Frozen, The Polar Express, Wicked, The Wizard of Oz, Elf, Mickey’s Christmas Carol, and Beauty and the Beast. K-Pop-themed characters will also attend.
Children can meet characters, participate in a holiday sing-along, and visit a storybook corner featuring Richard Scarry Christmas activities. Attendees will select a book to take home and have it signed by a character.
Advance tickets cost $20 per person. Children under 1 year old do not need a ticket. Doors open at 3 p.m. All proceeds will be donated to the Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley.
A Storybook Party LLC and The End Bookstore are organizing the event. A Storybook Party provides character entertainment in the Lehigh Valley and has more than 60 characters available. The End Bookstore, located at 3055 W. Tilghman St. in Allentown, is a general-interest independent bookstore. Let’s Play Books Co. is the parent company of The End Bookstore.
