READING, Pa. – One person is dead after being struck by a vehicle on Friday night in Berks County.
The crash happened on the 1200 block of Schuylkill Avenue around 5:30 p.m.. Police responded to the scene for reports of a pedestrian crash.
Reading police say that they found a female who was being transported to Reading Hospital by EMS on the scene when they arrived.
She later succumbed to her injuries, according to police.
The road was closed for several hours while crews worked the scene.
