Families looking to ring in the New Year with a sweet celebration can head to SteelStacks in Bethlehem for PeepsFest on Dec. 30 and 31.
The two-day festival will feature the signature 400-plus-pound yellow Peeps chick drop on both days at 5:35 p.m., followed by fireworks if weather permits. This year’s event introduces heated tents to keep guests warm and complimentary totes for children 12 and under.
Attendees will get an exclusive preview tasting of a new Peeps marshmallow flavor set to launch for Easter 2026. The festival will also feature live music performances, including Lolly Hopwood, DJ Wesley Works, and Eddy Ray Magic, across multiple stages throughout the venue at 101 Founders Way.
Family activities include cornhole, Jenga, crafts by Lehigh Valley groups, and photo opportunities with the Peeps chick mascot and PeepsMobile. Meet-and-greet sessions with actors portraying characters from Blippi, Gabby’s Dollhouse, and Ms. Rachel are scheduled for both days.
PBS39 will host several attractions, including a friendship bracelet creation station, cooking demonstrations featuring Peeps recipes, and a sensory-friendly space presented by Good Shepherd. Educational programming includes a wildlife presentation by Wildlands Conservancy on Dec. 30 and a science show by Da Vinci Science Center on Dec. 31.
Gates open at 2:45 p.m. each day. Admission costs $5 per person for all ages, with children 1 and under entering free. The full schedule is available at the PeepsFest website.
